Class 1:
The participants will be instructed on Hypnosis, addressing the myths and misconceptions surrounding Hypnosis. Understanding the mind, the Conscious Mind, the Subconscious Mind and the Critical Factor, and how Hypnosis works.
There will be a discussion of the health benefits of weight loss, and how to make simple conscious changes for weight loss taking small steps.

There will be a 20-30 minutes of session of Hypnosis at which time suggestions for portion control, healthy eating, avoidance of sugars, salts and fattening foods, increasing water intake, and increasing activity/exercise will be given in the form of metaphors, as well as direct suggestion.
Class 2:
There will be an open discussion of the participant's prior week experiences. We will work on visualization skills, self-talk, self-hypnosis technique and positive affirmation work.
There will be a 30-40 minutes session of Hypnosis again addressing portion control, healthy eating, avoidance of sugars, salts and fattening foods, increasing water intake, increasing activity/exercise will be given in the form of metaphors, as well as direct suggestion. There will also be visualization work, imagining the "goal body".
Step 3 Self-Hypnosis handout given and discussed.
